I’m going to sum up the things I read on my trip to adsense high revenue land.
Always try to attract quality visitors, these are visitors which come on your page through relevant search engine queries.
These visitors will have more interest in your page and and will probably click on adsense aswell.
Don’t push your webpage to the limit to get the highest amount of visitors, build your page so it can exist a very long term.
Don’t ever click your own adsense, google is smart and will suspend or terminate you, clicking your own ads is seen as fraud.
You will loose all money in the adsense account aswell.

When you sell products on your page, don’t put adsense ads.
The main thing of your website is to sell your product or affiliate products, not to click on adsense.
The best way is to make a separate page where you write articles about your product and put adsense ads on that page.

Some more adsense tips for a higher income.

I found some more tips while learning about adsense.
Choose the right format for your ads, this depends on the placement of your ads on your page.
It’s generally known that wide formats have better results than smaller ones.Always make sure that your ads blend into your page.
Make sure you show ads on as many pages as possible, write 1 page around 1 subject, this way google will show more relevant ads because the subject of your page is defined. The more quality you write, the more relevant ads.
Experience shows that 1 ad block has more income than 2.
Place one ad block in your content and 1 ad block on the upper left of your webpage.

Tips to earn more with adsense.

November 26th, 2008

First of all get to know adwords,it’s very good to know what’s behind adsense.
Write pages based on top paying keywords,on this pages top paying adsense ads will be shown and you will end up earning more through adsense.
Use keywords in english language, most of the websites are in english.
Put your ads on a strategic place, these are places that are eyecatchers.
This way people will have the intention to click faster on your ad and your click through rate raises.
Also make sure your ads blend in with your web page, they better have the same colors as the template you are using.
This way you will prevent advertising blindness.
While gathering info about links I found out that blue is the best option for links,it’s some sort of a standard option so people will click it faster.
Also it’s better to make the url the same as your ad text, this way your url “melts” into your ad text.
All this will get you a better CTR(Click through rate)

How to optimize your metatags?

November 24th, 2008

Write a relevant short description for each separate page.
Use keywords and keep your description fluent grammatically.
Summing up keywords is considered as spam.
Maximum 200 characters should be enough.
According to the latest polls the metatag description is not used by google to make up the rankings.Other search engines use the metatags so It’s better to provide a description.
Also write for each page sets of keywords and separate them with a komma.Think about keywords that a potential customer would type into a search engine and use that as a keyword.
Maximum 20 keywords should be enough.

A sitemap is important for search engines.

November 24th, 2008

Write a structured sitemap, make sure that it is accessible from the homepage through your internal link structure.
You can write an explanation with the different links so your sitemap will become readable.
When all your pages are connected to eachother through html and you make a separate sitemap also than all your pages could be indexed by google and you don’t need external systems liks Google Sitemaps.

Are H1 and H2 tags important for search engines?

November 24th, 2008

A good idea is to start every page with an eyecatcher, that way your visitors knows what your page is about.Put this eyecatcher between H1 tags and use relevant keywords.
Start new paragrafs with a H1 or H2 tag depending on your design.
Use the STRONG tag to give certain keywords more weight.

Outbound link optimization.

November 24th, 2008

We talked about inbound links in the post before this one but inbound links are not the only important linking method.
Outbound links are also important, relevant external links have a positive effect on your rankings in search engines, but make sure that these remain structured and that you add something nice for your visitors.
Don’t waste any time on irrelevant outbound links.

How to optimize your inbound links.

November 24th, 2008

Inbound links are very important for your rankings, especially for google. The more relevant these links, the more weight they gain. This means that an incoming link from a website about a similar subject is more important than a link from a website that doesn’t have anything to do with your subject.
Find directories and add your page to the correct category, you can also add yourself to starting pages.
Find related pages and email the webmaster about a link exchange, make sure that the webmaster his link is on your website before you make the request.
Make sure that you show a meaningfull description between the anchors and these inbound links.Use keywords but don’t exagerate.
Text links are far more important than banner links or links behind images.
You should avoid linking through javascript and don’t waste your time with irrelevant inbound links.
Don’t care too much about your pagerank, focus yourself on relevant inbound links. You don’t need to have a high pr to have a good website.

More tips to rank higher at google.

November 24th, 2008

Make sure that all pages of your website are connected to eachother by html links, when you don’t have internal html links only your homepage will get indexed. This is the case at websites with a flash navigation.Search engines can’t read a flash object. When your entire system is based on flash, make sure that you have an alternative in html, usually this is done by repeating all the links at the bottom of the page.
Never make your content in flash, use html or php and make sure you output a correct HTML file.

Optimize your website title to rank higher at google.

November 24th, 2008

Write for each page a separate title, use keywords that also exist in your content, for this post I used rank higher at google, this is the second time that it will be mentioned on that page so the keyword will have a higher density.
Search engines might also search between relevance and content.
Make sure that the title is readable and that it invites the user to click, never forget that this title will appear in the search results at for example google.
Keep your title short, the more keywords you use the less important these become.64 characters would be the absolute maximum you should use, spaces included.
Check the title I used,45 characters long so optimal for dearch engines.
